It’s spring, and all the baby animals are being born—a perfect time to visit the zoo. The Aldens and their friends are taking pictures there for a photo contest. But when cameras go missing and a girl is accused of cheating, the Boxcar Children must find out just who is monkeying with the contest!

The Boxcar Children learn lots of interesting things about the Navajos - but best of all is a legend about an ancient Native American village that once existed nearby. Curious, the children begin digging there and uncover some valuable artifacts. But it seems someone wants the village to stay buried!

The Alden children are staying at the home of a famous inventor known for her one-of-a-kind clocks. The clocks sound loudly at every hour, especially at midnight! But the clocks aren’t the only noise. Is the house haunted by the ghost of the inventor? The Aldens are determined to find out!

The Aldens have promised Grandfather a vacation from mysteries during their island visit. But the promise proves hard to keep when things start to go missing. Then an old fisherman tells Benny of the island’s ghost horse, and late that very night Benny sees a mysterious stallion galloping down the beach. Could the ghost horse have something to do with the disappearances?

The Aldens discover an exciting new exhibit to explore at their local zoo. But disaster strikes when a pair of rare ferrets is stolen. Two California condors are the thief’s next target. It seems the animals are being taken by someone who works for the zoo. But how can you stop a thief who has keys to all the cages? The Boxcar Children are determined to solve the mystery.

The Boxcar Children are going to college! That is, they are going to Mountvale College to help Grandfather at a convention of young astronomers. The Aldens learn many interesting things, and get to look at the stars and planets through a telescope at the observatory. But then some valuable information disappears - along with one of the students at the convention. What's going on? It's another mystery for the Boxcar Children!

Every fall at the Beckett farm, visitors come to buy pumpkins and go on hayrides. Best of all, Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny get to dress up in costumes and help with the fun. But something is haunting the farm...a mysterious ghost with a glowing pumpkin head!

The four Aldens like visiting the large old museum owned by their grandfather's friend. But then Jessie sees a huge, scary shadow moving in the room where the dinosaur skeletons are on display. And bones from the enormous Tyrannosaurus rex disappear. They must find the missing bones and solve the mystery before an exhibit is scheduled to open - or there might not be a dinosaur exhibit at all!

The Boxcar Children have a chance to be in a real play - The Wizard of Oz! Jessie is chosen for the Cowardly Lion. Benny will play a munchkin. Even Watch has a part and all the Aldens are helping with the show. Then mysterious things begin to happen. Someone makes a threatening phone call and a costume is destroyed. Maybe the show won’t go on - unless the Boxcar Children can solve the mystery before opening night!

The lodge is having its annual winter carnival, and the Boxcar Children sign up to compete in events like skiing, skating, sledding, and building snow and ice sculptures. But no sooner has the competition begun than the children have a mystery to solve!

Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny meet Mr. Hudson, a local author who is best known for his novel about a vampire. But rumors of a real vampire are going around town—a vampire who haunts the graveyard behind Mr. Hudson’s house! Since vampires don’t exist, the children soon realize that someone must be trying to scare people away! Who brought the old legend back to life—and why?

While Tate Radison was filming his last movie, a lot of odd things happened. So he wants to keep his presence in Greenfield a secret to avoid any more mishaps. But soon the troubles start again. Why would someone want to ruin Tate's career? It's another mystery for the Boxcar Children!

The Aldens can't believe that Greenfield's town council wants to demolish the historic firehouse that has stood for more than a hundred years.
