The Boxcar Children are going to college! That is, they are going to Mountvale College to help Grandfather at a convention of young astronomers. The Aldens learn many interesting things, and get to look at the stars and planets through a telescope at the observatory. But then some valuable information disappears - along with one of the students at the convention. What's going on? It's another mystery for the Boxcar Children!

The four Aldens like visiting the large old museum owned by their grandfather's friend. But then Jessie sees a huge, scary shadow moving in the room where the dinosaur skeletons are on display. And bones from the enormous Tyrannosaurus rex disappear. They must find the missing bones and solve the mystery before an exhibit is scheduled to open - or there might not be a dinosaur exhibit at all!

The Aldens love exploring the many hiking trails around Yellowstone, especially Lost Cabin Trail. But suddenly the trail is closed because of bear activity, and then the map disappears! Could someone be trying to keep the Aldens away from the trail? It's a mystery - and the Boxcar Children are going to solve it!

The Boxcar Children have a chance to be in a real play - The Wizard of Oz! Jessie is chosen for the Cowardly Lion. Benny will play a munchkin. Even Watch has a part and all the Aldens are helping with the show. Then mysterious things begin to happen. Someone makes a threatening phone call and a costume is destroyed. Maybe the show won’t go on - unless the Boxcar Children can solve the mystery before opening night!

Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny meet Mr. Hudson, a local author who is best known for his novel about a vampire. But rumors of a real vampire are going around town—a vampire who haunts the graveyard behind Mr. Hudson’s house! When the Aldens come across a robbery at an antique store, they decide to use their detective skills to help locate the stolen ruby ring, bracelet, and necklace. Yet before their investigation even begins, someone breaks into the Aldens' home and steals a box of Benny's favorite Silver Frosted Star cereal!

The Aldens are thrilled to be with their Aunt Jane and Uncle Andy in San Francisco. When they visit Fisherman's Wharf, their friend, Charlie, invites them aboard a fishing boat. But strange things are happening on the wharf, and it seems as if someone doesn't want Charlie to catch any fish. Can the Boxcar Children find out what's going on?

The Aldens discover there’s nothing more fun than a drive-in theater, where they can eat popcorn in the car and watch movies under the stars! But pranks and other odd things keep happening at the Diamond Drive-In, and late at night, a ghost is seen walking around the empty lot. Is the old theater really haunted?
