This audiobook focuses on the countless theories that have been put forward with regard to the identity of the notorious Victorian serial killer and offers an extensive section presenting all the known facts in the case. It includes 30 essays by the most famous, often controversial Ripperologists putting forward their own theories. It remains one of the few audiobooks to offer a series of alternative solutions to Jack the Ripper's identity and the truth behind the Whitechapel murders.

Peter Woodcock was Canada's youngest serial killer when, at the age of 17, he brutally raped and murdered two boys and a girl between the ages of four and nine. He was never put on trial by "reason of insanity", and instead was confined for 34 years in a criminal psychiatric facility and offered treatment. On July 13, 1991, he finally had earned his first day pass ever and was allowed to briefly go off the facility grounds into town to visit a DQ for an ice cream. Actual true crime is not like watching an episode of CSI. Even television true crime documentaries can skim over the sticky details. Real true crime can be unsettling for many people. However, I do my best not to leave out any details in my audiobooks. My intention isn’t to shock but rather to give the listener a glimpse into the killer’s mind. I don’t begin to think that I can understand the mind of a diabolical monster, but I can guarantee that curiosity will keep us listening and endlessly searching for answers.
