Being a woman is a thing of worth, and being black is what we should be proud of. However, being a woman can be challenging. I guess you know that by now. Finding a balance between work, family, and personal life can be difficult.

It is music to the spirit and the rhythm of the soul. There’s no feeling more wonderful than to know that you are loved and supported unconditionally. Yet, for the strong Black queen, love can be quite elusive sometimes. Her assertiveness is labeled as aggression; her standards are labeled as arrogance. She’s been told to conform to an image that is not her, nor that of her ancestors. Sometimes, she’s been so hurt that she ends sabotaging her relationships herself, because she feels undeserving of affection, unworthy of love.

Without woman there would be no man. Somewhere along the way society has forgotten the power of not just women but Black women. There is a gradual shift though, a turning of the tide, as the Black woman begins to really embrace her true beauty, power, and essence. From the natural hair to the different hues in skin tone, the black woman is a force to be reckoned with.
