Daniel Graves is a man of many talents. He juggles his responsibilities of being a painter, a teacher, the director of The Florence Academy of Art, a husband, and a father remarkably well. He knew from the age of three or four who he wanted to be. His career launched when he was 11 years old. He studied with many artists including Richard Lack, Richard Serrin, and Signorina Simi, and received regular critiques from Pietro Annigoni.

Charles Thomas "Chuck" Close (born July 5, 1940) is an American painter and photographer who achieved fame as a photo-realist. He developed his own highly resolved heads (his preferred term to portraits), which were worked on a massive scale. Despite suffering a disabling spinal aneurysm in 1988, the artist has continued to forge a monumental body of work in a variety of media: paintings, drawings, prints, and photographs, of potent and original effect.

Edward Lucie-Smith examines Hans Holbein's famous series of prints, The Dance of Death, together with associated works, such as various artistic variations on the theme of Death and the Maiden. In addition, Lucie-Smith looks at some famous images made on the theme of war, notably the prints of Jacques Callot and the bitter social studies of Goya y Lucientes.

Clare Lilley, head curator of Yorkshire Sculpture Park, gives an interview to Cv/VAR in which she describes her own career path to the YSP and gives a detailed description of the history, aims, and initiatives of Britain's largest environment for contemporary sculpture, with special projects involving artists such as David Nash, James Turrell, Jaume Plensa, and Anthony Caro.

Cv/VAR 80 presents an interview by sculptor Tom Grimsey in 1991 with Spanish artist Glòria Ortega. She describes her work in various mediums from straw to steel. She credits the effect on her work of artists Miro, Chillida, and Ortéiza, and discusses her place in the community of Catalan artists.

This is a recorded conversation with Manchester-born artist Hughie O'Donoghue, first published in Cv Journal of the Arts v2/3 September 1989. He discusses his ideas about painting and evaluates key works such as Sleeper and recent landscape The Irish Sea.

Cv/VAR 50 publishes an interview with the artist Helen Chadwick (1953-96), recorded at her Beck Road studio in 1989. It explores the body-action-photographic works distilled in installations such as Ego Geometria Sum and Of Mutability, and the cromalin prints of 1989: Viral Landscapes, prepared for exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art Oxford in 1990.

Dr. Stephen Deuchar, director of the Art Fund, gives an interview to Cv/VAR, first published in Curators and Collections Volume Three 2010. He describes the history of the Art Fund, its foundation, aims and initiatives, and work as a major benefactor, enabling museums and galleries to preserve and develop their collections, including recently discovered treasure troves, and individual works saved for the future.

Cv/VAR 102 documents Leviathan, a commissioned sculpture by Anish Kapoor for the Monumenta series at the Grand Palais, Paris. It records a press presentation at his London studio. The artist describes the project, with reference to scale models, and discusses 120 metre high Orbit in construction for the 2012 London Olympics. It then visits Leviathan installed at the Grand Palais in May 2011.

Interview with John Murdoch, director of the Courtauld Gallery, Somerset House, London, recorded in 1993, describes the formation of key Impressionist works by Sam Courtauld in the early twentieth century.

A presentation by exhibition curator Catherine David in 1997 describes her plans for Documenta X Kassel; title 'Retroperspective', including works by Joseph Beuys and Walter de Maria. She proposes the ambitions of the projects, in linking strands of modern and progressive art, with aspirations of different nationalities and cultures.

Explores the structure and development of the Pre-Raphaelite movement in the mid-19th century and works that figure among the most enduring and generally popular in British art. Renowned writer and art critic Edward Lucie-Smith contributes a study of the brotherhood of seven artists and their interconnection and intricate links with the social establishment of the time. James Cahill has a special interest in the movement, having studied Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Holman Hunt. He reviews a major exhibition of 150 works at Tate Britain launched in September 2012.

Cv/VAR 66 interviews Dr. Michael Ryan of the National Museum Dublin recorded at the opening of the exhibition The Work of Angels at the British Museum in 1989. He describes pieces found at Derrynaflan dating from the eighth century including an ecclesiastical paten, jewelry, accessories, and domestic artifacts. It carries a detailed account of Celtic and Pictish craftsmanship and iconography.

A review of the Mary Quant exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum London. The audiobook looks at the beginnings of the designer's practice, launched with the Kings Road boutique Bazaar in the 1950s; progressing to Quant's mini skirts and trouser suits in the 1960s, and development of a cosmetic range in the 1970s. Includes quotations from associates and biographical data.
