Immer öfter wird die Frage gestellt: Diktatur oder Demokratie? Patriarchat oder Matriarchat? Hierarchie oder Heterarchie? Was ist besser? Was ist zukunftsfähiger? Wohin führt uns das eine und wohin das andere?

Friederike, die 1836 in Posen als Tochter jüdischer Eltern geboren wurde und später mit ihren Eltern nach Schlesien übersiedelte, arbeitete als Krankenpflegerin, engagierte sich immer wieder karitativ und verbrachte einen großen Teil ihrer Zeit damit Bittbriefe zu schreiben. Zum Beispiel an Kaiser Wilhelm I., dem sie die Einrichtung von Leichenhäusern vorschlug, damit künftig keine Scheintoten mehr bestattet würden. (Ein Problem, das im 18.und 19. Jh. auch Menschen wie J.W. Goethe oder E. A. Poe sehr erregte).
