I spent 60 years in the school as a student, a teacher, and an elementary principal. My experiences with peer pressure, family dysfunction, evangelical fundamentalism, and lack of success in school strongly influenced my role as a professional educator. I use the power of story and humor to illustrate the life lessons I learned along the way.
