This advisory calls attention to the growing concerns about the effects of social media on youth mental health. It explores and describes the current evidence on the positive and negative impacts of social media on children and adolescents, some of the primary areas for mental health and well-being concerns, and opportunities for additional research to help understand the full scope and scale of social media’s impact.

In 2018, adolescents and young adults aged 15 to 24 had a suicide rate of 14.45. This evil has been aging grounds among the youths of our society as well as among adults in our society. The fact remains that every suicide successfully executed usually have warning signs that were not correctly recognized or identified before the victim carries out the evil act. These warning signs, when identified and the necessary steps are taken, can always reduce the rate of suicide in our society.
