Ce que les critiques en disent

"The limited time she had to campaign was just one of the many obstacles Kamala Harris had to overcome as the first woman of color to run for president. Though she’s been accused of seeing herself as a victim in this revealing political memoir, the tone of her performance gently rejects that characterization. With her careful phrasing and clear enunciation, she sounds calm, thoughtful, and self-aware, taking responsibility when appropriate and pointing to circumstances and people who could have been more helpful. Overall, she creates an atmosphere that should allow listeners of all political persuasions to appreciate the person behind a campaign packed with triumphs and heartbreak. Her account of the elaborate operations and complex relationships needed for a presidential run is fascinating."

Editorial Review

American Grit
On 21 July, 2024, President Joseph R. Biden bowed out of the US presidential campaign and Vice President Kamala Harris stepped in. She had 107 days to mount a campaign, meet American citizens from coast-to-coast, debate, raise money (those fundraising Zooms were epic), and convince voters to elect her on November 5. The morning of the election in the States, I called a colleague and told her how emotional I felt. I couldn’t quite pinpoint if I was overwhelmingly happy that a Black woman was potentially going to call the White House home, or that she got this far. Now, 24 September, 2025, will be just as significant for me, since it’s when I will listen to Harris narrate her political memoir. It will undoubtedly lodge somewhere in my psyche forever. How could it not? Kamala Harris has a place in history that will never be erased. No one can take that away. No. One.—Yvonne D., Audible Editor

Loved the book, you endured a tremendous ordeal, but like you said you gave it your all and you continue to do the same. I’m amazed how you never made your loss about race when we know darn well America’s dirty little secret had been waiting so long to reclaim their “perceived rightful place”. I’m Canadian and I fear for my people and the future of America. God bless you and thank you for your continued service.

I am a Canadian from the east coast, I was so hopeful for Kamala as President last year and then so sad when that didn’t happen. A lot of us in Canada cried too. This book was very good, as others said it’s not put down able. Kamala is a star as far as her ability to be clear, compassionate but also tough when needed. She is such a smart cookie. I loved the book, so glad that Kamala narrated it herself. It brought me back to that hope I had. As I listened I was back to believing she was going to win, and at the end I was sad to come back to the reality. Well done to Kamala, run again and keep writing!

It made me sad again,

Raw and honest. A great insight into Kamala’s story and life - personal and work. The narration brought out the emotions of her achievements and the lows. I would most definitely recommend.

As a connoisseur of political memoirs, I can confidently say that this is the best one I have ever read.

107 Days is straight to the point, unusually candid and consistently engaging. This book avoids the common complaints that other political memoirs have (discretion, fluff, pretension) and takes you directly into one of the most unique presidential campaigns ever as a fly-on-the-wall. A very satisfying read for any political nerd.

Every page of this book is interesting, and Harris proves herself as a terrific narrator with her directness and wonderfully dry sense of humor peppered throughout. In my opinion, this is the best memoir released this year and certainly was deserving of becoming the year’s best-selling memoir shortly after its release. I will certainly be re-visiting this one.

Outstanding
