About this listen

The harrowing, true account from the brave men on the ground who fought back during the Battle of Benghazi—and the basis of the movie starring Jon Krasinski and directed by Michael Bay.

13 Hours presents, for the first time ever, the true account of the events of September 11, 2012, when terrorists attacked the US State Department Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA station called the Annex in Benghazi, Libya. A team of six American security operators fought to repel the attackers and protect the Americans stationed there. Those men went beyond the call of duty, performing extraordinary acts of courage and heroism, to avert tragedy on a much larger scale. This is their personal account, never before told, of what happened during the thirteen hours of that now-infamous attack.

13 Hours sets the record straight on what happened during a night that has been shrouded in mystery and controversy. Written by New York Times bestselling author Mitchell Zuckoff, this riveting book takes listeners into the action-packed story of heroes who laid their lives on the line for one another, for their countrymen, and for their country.

13 Hours is a stunning, eye-opening, and intense book—but most importantly, it is the truth. The story of what happened to these men—and what they accomplished—is unforgettable.

Incredible true story of the brave actions and sacrifices of a few brave men faced with overwhelming odds. Very well written and performed. having seen the movie I didn't know what to expect but was quite surprised that I felt the same tense, anticipation, even though I already knew the outcome. Excellent audiobook!

I would highly recommend this audio book. An hommage to modern day heroes. The movie was great but this book goes far more in depth with the characters and the chain of events.

Great audio book!

Ok read but wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. The narrator’s voice didn’t do it for me. The story lacks developing of the characters. Not a bad book by any means but… not all that good either.

Meh

I loved this movie and the story behind it, so I was really excited to get a chance to purchase the book and listen to it. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the narrators voice. He is so monotoned, it's painful. Even in the middle of a fighting scene, he narrates like he's reading the phone book, I couldn't even finish the book because of it! I HIGHLY recommend sticking to the movie and not wasting your money on this book.

Loved movie, couldn't finish the book
