I quite enjoyed this book, great narrator. Broad strokes looking at the atmosphere in many contexts, including historical, scientific and literary. My only quibble is that decimate does not mean what the author thinks it means: to decimate is to reduce by 10%. Devastation means to destroy utterly. Not the same meaning at all, and yanked me out of the narrative not once but twice! For a Canadian you would think they would recognize the metric prefix...still a good listen and I recommend it.
