And then you find yourself asking if the goal is even worth the hassle. Maybe you're in a Dip: a temporary setback that you will overcome if you keep pushing. But maybe it's really a Cul-de-Sac, which will never get better, no matter how hard you try.

Despite stock market crashes, dot-com busts, and the specter of recession, the author started a virtual company from home, using a few thousand dollars of his savings. A few years later, without ever hiring an employee or leaving his home office, he sold it for more than $100 million. As the economy slipped into another free fall, he did this again with a company in a different field. He accomplished this through no particular genius.

Good message, little off putting being spoken to like his daughter
Interesting perspective of a common message. Little too evangelical and preachy, however the concept of him writing to his daughter takes some of the awkwardness away from the abundance of love that is being washed out to the otherwise audience.
I put it at 1.5x and it brought little more intensity with excitement and enthusiasm to the reading that I was able to hold my attention while I was working in the shop.

A new and old kind of theology
The author seems to be trying to convince his child and the rest of us that everything started with us and continues with us and there is no authority over us and so on and so forth. The narration was irritating and the theology is not something I subscribe to.
