Disappointed.
Second book of the series and it significantly disappointed me, barely associated with the main character and kept peeling off into unnecessary side stories and repetition, like, how many fucking times do you have to make me aware that Cullen and others were affected by the cloak skill and with such a short book chapters like the snake one did not require so much attention. Also, fuck that redheaded dumbass, what an annoying and useless character.

Really enjoying this series.
A really pleasant surprise, missing a lot of the flaws that similar genre books have. It's actually quite well written, the characters are likeable and relatable. Probably the best written litRPG book I've listened to.

Felt incomplete
Great story but the lack of resolution really makes things feel empty. I hope the next book has more of a proper ending or even a decent place to leave off prior to a cliff hanger but this ending was abrupt. Also the different view points from newly introduced characters makes no impact on the story as a whole. They just vanish. I truly wonder if my download was complete or if this was the whole thing.

Okay, not good, not great, just okay.
This book is good when it comes to plot how the MC progresses, but is a bit confusing at times. The problem I have with it is that the church writing is not good. It’s not so bad that I’m puking, but is enough to make me feel like stopping. When the writer refers to someone bleeding he says blood was spilled, like blood is a random new character and they just spilled. It’s something I feel would be easily fixed and it’s very annoying and hard to listen to. Only get this book if you have nothing else to listen to and want a time passer that is mildly interesting.

Definitely a transition book
While I enjoyed this book immensely, it seems mostly to be about the characters transitioning to the new normal for them as a set up for the next book. As such, it also greatly expanded the world building, which is one of my favorite parts of book series like this. It introduced a few new characters, and I am very curious to see what is going to happen in the next book!

Entertaining
A nice continuation from the first book. The characters are great and interact well. I'm glad Trent wasn't forced to behave as a summons but there wasn't much story progression. The character growth for a lot of characters makes up for it a bit though.
