After the disastrous attack on the Manticoran home system by forces unknown, the Royal Manticoran Navy stands on the brink of collapse. A shadowy enemy with the resources to hurl warships across hundreds of light years seeks to conquer the Star Kingdom for reasons unknown, while forces from within Manticore's own government seek to discredit and weaken the Navy for reasons very much known: their own political gain.
It's up to officers like Travis Long and Lisa Donnelly to defend the Star Kingdom and the Royal Manticoran Navy from these threats, but the challenge is greater than any they have faced before. Beautiful
Been a Weber fan for along time, starting with At Basilisk Station, this book is well done and the reader is spot on.

another excellent adventure
I have absolutely enjoyed all of the books in the story of Manticore, be it Honor, king Roger, Scotty, Sir Horace, Travis, Mike, or Queen Barry etc. I'm always left wanting more. I already want to read the next book. There is lots going on in this book from politics to Travis, Lisa, Chomps with their creative moments, that confound their opponents. and Elisabeth... You'll need to read it. I could not stop once I started listening to the book. Its an exciting adventure, well written and narrated. I'm always left with the feeling i only got a teaspoon when I was hoping for a cup.
David get with your team of writers and get busy writing more and pumping them out faster this is a great epic story that needs to be told. I don't want to get old before I read the last chapter in the stories that still need to be written.
