As Miss Marple sat basking in the Caribbean sunshine, she felt mildly discontented with life. True, the warmth eased her rheumatism, but here in paradise nothing ever happened.

Eventually, her interest was aroused by an old soldier’s yarn about a murderer he had known. Infuriatingly, just as he was about to show her a snapshot of this acquaintance, the Major was suddenly interrupted. A diversion that was to prove fatal.

This story was very entertaining. I loved the characters in the book. ..I think Miss Fox does A very good job with the voices. A few twists and turns. I'm sure I'll listen to the story again . Love Miss Marple

This was a really great mystery. The narration was excellent and brought out the story in a real time kind of happening.
Miss Marple goes to the Caribbean for a rest and relaxation gifted to her by her nephew. She meets various couples with colourful personalities and a chatty friend who has all kinds of stories of people he met...and a murderer even. While he was about to show her a photo, he glances up and looks visibly shaken, but by the time Miss Marple looks she cannot pin point who it is, as one of the couples there walk towards them, he loudly changes the topic.
The next day he's dead. She goes on merrily and nonchalant to find out from all the friends she met, secretly enquiring about the man's many stories including the murder one and the picture he was about to show her.
But there's no picture to be found and the more she engages with the guests, the more connected she realizes they are and suddenly nothing and Noone's relationship is what it seems.

This was a really great mystery.
