4th novel in the series. I think I should not have leapt staight into this one after reading the stronger novel "The King of Attolia".

Interesting that it started part way through the action of the novel (a nice technique, and definitely helped keep the interest going). But this felt like a novel where the peices were being set up for the next novel in the series.

This is one of my faves in the series. Strong and interesting characters and fresh storylines to enjoy. Author has me completely shook as I really try to unravel her foreshadowing . She is really awesome at telling her tales.

Loved it! Steve West did a great job. Book 4 was excellent, and I'm happy with where the story went. Looking forward to book 5!
