Publisher's Summary

The seductive and stunning #1 New York Times bestselling sequel to Sarah J. Maas’s spellbinding A Court of Thorns and Roses. Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people.

As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin. While Feyre navigates a dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms. She might just be the key to stopping it, but only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world in turmoil.

Bestselling author Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second audiobook in her dazzling, sexy, action-packed series to new heights.

AMAZING

Oh wow.

That. Was. Goooooooooooooooooood.

This dramatized adaptation is amazing. The voice actors did a splendid job, and we could hear and feel all the emotions in Feyre’s voice. I honestly don’t know how I’ll be able to enjoy regular audiobooks after this immersive experience. 😬

Even if you’ve already read the book, hearing this dramatized version is a must. I highly recommend it to any ACOTAR fan.
I mean, I was already in love with Rhys and the famous “Hello, Feyre Darling” line, but hearing it was even better.

Overall 10/10 - minor complaint

I’ve already read the books but I wanted to relive them, so I downloaded the audible books. If I were to make a complaint it would be that some actors acting sometimes came off as moaning or sounding like a teenager arguing with their mom. I would like to hear more charm, sarcasm, and somber. I will still download the rest of the book series!

Gets better and better

I thoroughly enjoyed book 2 of this series. I was enthralled in the plot, couldn't put it down and listened until the wee hours of the morning. Voice actors were cast perfectly and Melody Muze also does a great narration. I prefer her voice in this graphic audio vs the voice actor of the regular book. Superb and can't wait to listen to book 3.

Loved it

Very happy with it, love the vocal choices. Cassian is the only one who was a bit deeper than expected, but I like it.

Too Breathy

I returned this after one chapter and downloaded the regular version instead. The dramatized performance would have been great, but I couldn't get past the breathiness of the overall narrator. She sounded like she was whispering every sentence and it was just too overdone for me. Looking forward to hearing the story narrated by Jennifer Ikeda instead. She was great in book 1.

Should not have gotten the dramatized version

Where to start? The music is super cheesy, and the sound effects (even just basic walking) are so loud you feel like there’s an overachieving Foley artist in the room with you. The voices are not at all how I imagined them. The lead actress sounds so whiny and pouty I wanted to smack her… so you can imagine how the bedroom scenes are.

My biggest frustration with this is that it’s only half the book. I didn’t notice this until the story abruptly cut off and I looked to see what was wrong. To waste 2 credits on this was unthinkable, so I bought the full regular version. Hopefully their narrator is more tolerable.

Good

I had to turn the speed down to 0.85x and then it was perfect, thought they were talking a little fast.

Pretty Good

I had to slow it down to .90 speed. it's a little too fast. Cassian and Azriel's voices don't fit, but I still enjoyed it. Some of the background sounds were too loud over the vocals and the sound for winnowing was kind of awful but otherwise ive really enjoyed the enriching sound effects.

First time using a Dramatic Adaption

First time using a dramatic reading and it was worth it. Loved to hear different people reading for characters instead of just one person reading for multiple characters and for some voice actors, “attempting” to do other voices for characters and falling flat. It did feel a bit strange to end at Chapter 32 without giving it away is a bit of a strange place to cut it. But I loved that while reading with a physical copy it made the story more immense full with vivid dialogue, background noise, and at times some sweet music to add to the ambiance of the story. Gonna get part 2 of the DA to finish the story.

Dramatized Adaptation... not for me

Great little story even if it is YA. Really enjoyed it BUT Dramatized Adaptations are not for me. The background is just a loud as the voicing so it gets in the way. While I LOVE and prefer a full cast, I can do without the background noises. I would suggest this series just not the DA version.

This was such a beautiful experience

I have read (physically) ACOMAF a handful of times now. It’s my favorite book and a major comfort read. I finally decided to get the dramatized audiobook (part one at least haha!) with one of my credits and I was not disappointed. Hearing the emotion in the characters during some of the scenes had me literally weeping. This was so beautiful. And I will be buying an extra credit to get part two literally as soon as I’m done posting this, lol!

Super audio book

Très agréable d’avoir plusieurs voix ça change et c’est appréciable mais parfois les musiques ou bruits de fond sont trop fort c’est un peu perturbant
