Publisher's Summary

Looking for a good clean murder mystery?

Meet Rachel Prince, a newly qualified police constable trying to hold it together after being ditched by her fiancé.

Rachel's best friend, Sarah, suggests that she needs a break and what better way to relax than a Mediterranean cruise? Sarah works as a nurse on the cruise ship and they plan to enjoy all the luxuries of cruising. At least they would do if Sarah ever got any time away from the medical centre.

Rachel makes friends with a bereaved, elderly woman and an attractive Italian but it's not long before she is convinced that something sinister is going on. There is mystery and threat surrounding Lady Marjorie Snellthorpe.

Who is the secretive Carlos and what is he up to?

Rachel finds herself in the centre of a mystery that could cost her her life, or worse still, her heart.

Has her broken engagement clouded her judgement?

Events unfold that cause her to question her sanity and when one of the passengers meets with a tragic accident, the tension grows. Rachel tries her best to relax and enjoy her holiday with her friend, but there seems to be danger around every corner. Is Marjorie in danger? Can Rachel solve the mystery even when she is in danger herself?

A fun listen

My first book by this author, it was quite an entertaining and stress free read/listen. Murder set on a cruise gave me a locked room kind of a feel to it which kept my interest going. I was not very keen about the workimgs of a ship, but getting to the identutu of the killer was interesting. Rachel was delightful, though some parts were predictable. Today I found comfort in that predictability. The narrator was okay. A delightful cozy murder mystery.

A Cruise to Murder

Rachel Prince is a newly minted police constable taking her first cruise. During the cruise while making new friends and visiting with a good friend, she begins to suspect there is something going on but she isn't sure what. This is a well-paced cozy mystery that give you enough of a glimpse into the character's personal life so you care, but not much which can take away from the mystery. I think Alex Lee did a great job on the narration and I am looking forward to to my next listen in this series

fun murder mystery

The Narrator was great, different voices for different people. Fun murder mystery, interesting characters, unsure who did it until end. I didn't like who did it and you'll understand why at the end.

Great start! Fun, clean mystery

I started in audio and found I wanted the ebook to follow along. The story shifts between character's perspective. I found I had to skim back through the first few chapters to keep track of the different characters perspective. The mystery unfolds throughout the book. It was fun and kept me engaged the entire time. The narrator does an excellent job. The narration is well paced and fun to listen to. I requested and received a free copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review. I'm so glad I did! I'm looking forward to what comes next in this series!

Excellent vacation murder mystery!

This was my first Rachel Prince mystery book and it did not disappoint. Rachel after being devastated by a man takes a cruise by herself for a little rest and relaxation. Her friend Sara works as a nurse on the cruise ship and helps to convince her to get away. During the cruise she meets a sweet little old widow and they become fast friends. However as accidents begin to occur she wonders if someone is out to hurt her new friend. Mystery mixed with a handsome secretive stranger leaves Rachel conflicted. I really enjoyed this story as well as the narration and look forward to hearing more in this series! I received a free review copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Enjoyed this immensely...The narrator has a soothing voice as well. The characters in this story are fun to get to know. Ms. Marjorie being my favorite of all...she's a sweetheart . So happy Rachael was looking out for her.

Great murder mystery

I love murder mysteries and this one definitely kept me intrigued and a good clean one makes it all the more enjoyable. There were a lot of details on how cruise ships operates which I kinda enjoyed. The location descriptions were very detailed and made me want to visit them. I’m looking forward to other books by this author.

Great for cruise lovers

I went on my first cruise in February, and reading this book was just like being back there :-) I loved the description of the cruise ship and the passengers, it was so realistic! I thought the narrator did a great job although I did speed up the narration a pinch Because it was a little slow for me. I gave a story four stars because I thought the ending came from out of the blue bed but overall it was a good fun quick lesson :-) I’m looking forward to the next books in the series!

A nice cozy mystery

A nice cozy mystery on the high seas and you enjoy the main character and the characters she comes across like the rich old lady Marjorie who in herself was a delight. She needs a story of her own and you do kind of question her son when you first hear about him in the story and the company he associates with. Carlos was another questionable character, and you like, Rachel's friends that give her support when she needs them. It had some humor and quirkiness and it was really good. So if you ever get a chance to listen or read it check it out, you'll enjoy it.
