Most of the story was about people....not about dogs. The title is very deceiving. Winston, the old dog was mentioned throughout. Ruby, the puppy, came along only in the last few chapters, just before Christmas....hence, a Dog's Perfect Christmas!!! I have listened to several of W.Bruce Cameron's books where the narrator was "the" dog, but not so here. Disappointed from that perspective.
