It is 1893, and the first generation of immigrants who came to America for the promise of free land and a good life for their children have finally achieved their dreams. They labored hard on the land and now have a bountiful heritage to pass on to the next generation. Great story, but terribly read

The book was pretty good but the reader made it sound like a children’s story.

Horrible narration

I have listened to the entire Red River series and absolutely loved them all. This was another excellent book! I had to force myself to listen to this one because I didn't want to miss anything, but the imitation of the accents and the tone of voice is awful. Such a shame it was ruined. Even some of the English words were not read correctly.

Horrible narrator

I have listen all these books and just loved loved them all. BUT THIS ONE IS HORRIBLE NARRATING ! It’s so bad, I am not sure I can finish it. Too bad they switched narrators. Please change the narrator in the next two books in this series please.
