A great addition to the saga.

At first, I thought this book would be amusing at best but this book surprised me! This book had a lot more world-building and an interesting side story that we didn't even get a hint of in Persephone's POV. We also get to meet a lot more gods and really get to know Hades way better witch was cool.

Written Lore Olympus

Game of Fate by Scarlett’s St Clair

Is WEBTOON in words.

I found this book and author by complete accident. The author came up in a TikTok and as I dove deeper into their works I found the Hades x Persephone Saga, and specifically a reworking from Hades view point.

It was interesting and very entertaining. With excellent sex scenes. Lots of female pleasure, finding power and coming into one’s own from true support and not manipulative trauma.

The only thing is it was almost the same as Lore Olympus. I don’t dislike it, as a result. Just question the copyright. But one does sort of know where it might go, 1 because one knows the story of Hades and Persephone and 2 because it follows a lot of Lore Olympus key plot points.

Any which way it’s a fast and easy read that I could continue if one wishes or leave it as one book because it has a nice satisfying ending.

This book is for anyone that enjoys steamy romances, Greek mythologies and retellings.

Love the story, hate the narration

Terrible narrator. He is incapable of emitting any emotion in his reading, and is terrible at conveying any sensuality.

Better than the first

These are facts, Hades is a compelling god. The darkness and mystery that he exudes pull me into the story. I find this book interested me more than Touch of Darkness. The world building and character development are better than the first book. I like to see the motivations for characters actions from another perspective. This book has renewed my interest to see what happens to Persephone and Hades in the next book.

horrible narrator

sounds like a robot.
story is ok, nice add to book 1 but very challenging to finish through audio.
book 1 of this series on audible ends with the first 2 chapters of this book and multiple changes or edits made which was annoying.

love this story.

I really love this story love that it's not all the same as first book you get a whole different story. I'm not totally in love with the reader but it could possibly be because I was use to how the characters spunder through a females voice and it just didn't sound the same... idk but definitely worth a listen it adds more to the story!

Basically just verbal porn and REDUNDANT after book 1

I saw a comment that this book should be read before “book 2” in the series. SIGH. This is the same story as book 1 (entire repetition) with some added storylines from Hades’ timeline. I did this one immediately after the first book and found it EXTREMELY REDUNDANT. Lastly, it’s mostly just sex. Tiring after a while because it’s literally the SAME experiences as the first book.

I haven’t done book 2 yet but my advice would be to come back to this when you want more from the characters later in the series.

The Narrator was just not a good fit

The story is amazing, but I can’t get past the bland reading by the narrator. His voice is missing any emotion, extremely monotone.. just not good for a novel like this full of sensuality and emotion. I will no longer buy audiobooks by this narrator.

Book is great narration is dull

The narrator would be great at a non fiction, autobiography, or history story. But for a steamy fantasy book, he’s just to “matter of fact”. The book itself is great, I love Hade’s side of the story more than Persephone’s.

Narration made me fall asleep

I loved the story but hated the narrator. He was so robotic and monotoned. Poor inflections. Sounded like he was reading a boring textbook.
They should’ve just have kept Meg Sylvan since we are used to her voice for Hades, and she’s an excellent narrator.

Dear lord the dude reading this ruined the book!

How could one person be so boring to listen to? It was like he had never been with a woman or felt passion at all. He was bleak and monotone. The sex scenes had no passion at all. He really ruined the book.

Hard to listen

The story is great but this reader/narrator is intolerable. I couldn’t even listen to it and had to switch to the book

Good book, terrible performance

The book was great but it was hard to get through due to the narrator. It was so slow and monotone. I felt like someone was reading a itemized spread sheet to me. I know this book is supposed to have a Male perspective and thus I can appreciate a male narrator, but I would rather have Meg Sylvan read the book in her impassioned Hades voice, than listen to Tyler Donne drone on and on.

bad narrator

the reader is really monotone and disinterested and a little creepy sounding?

he also changes the ways names are pronounced which makes it a little confusing to follow. also pronounced peridot pear-oh-dot.

if you’re interested - get the physical book not this audio book.

THE VOICE

I know not every voice actor is right for everyone’s ears but this guy is so disappointing. It’s almost monotonous. I imagine Hades voice as sultry, deep, commanding. And this dude sounds like he’s back in high school being forced to read in English class. I can’t even focus so I stopped listening and opted for the read on my kindle instead.

Switched to kindle on chapter 2

I wish they’d let the female narrator from the other 2 books do this one because she reads a better hades. Listen to a sample or something before blindly downloading or you’ll waste your money
