Not what you expect

The melodrama of the first chapter is hard, you have to get past it. It’s a really bad.

Overall, there are some characters that tend towards melodramatic and seem a bit over-the-top in performance. But this is really balanced by the others who are more balanced. I felt like I was being yelled at a bit, turning the volume down helped.

The story really never went where I expected and kept me guessing. There were many twists and turns. It was very engaging. Definitely worth the listen and absolutely creative!

Why do I do this to myself?

Amazing story. Outstanding narrators. Gut-punching, put-you-in-chokehold cliffhanger. I should know better than to read a Twisted Sister’s book from a series that isn’t finished.
This is a high fantasy Aladdin retelling that is just so good. It’s incredibly frustrating in a good way haha. If you enjoy being wrapped up in a story that gives you anxiety, you will not be disappointed. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Wow

I am truly blown away. In all honesty I didn’t know what to expect with this book but I am beyond pleasantly surprised! Between the complex characters and expertly woven plot, this is one well worth reading and rereading!

Great Narration and Story

Jake and Bridget Bordeaux really brought this story to life. I don't know if I could have had the same reaction to the story if I was reading the print version only. As always, a great story from Caroline Peckham and Suzanne Valenti. I look forward to seeing where this series will go next.

PHENOMENAL job once again.

Once again, they have outdone themselves. My heart was racing throughout the story, and I could hardly stop listening to it. The rush of adrenaline I get from this story is almost addicting, which is probably why I can hardly put it down/pause it. This story has more cruelty in it than their Zodiac Academy series, but nonetheless, we dedicated readers push through and torture ourselves all over again (it'll be worth it in the end). The narrators did a phenomenal job portraying each character, I think it would be cool if they could do a duet rather than narrate each character separately. ie. masculine characters done by Jake and the feminine characters by Bridget.

Great narration, terrible story

The Bordeaux’s are an amazing narration team. And usually the twisted sisters deliver on a solid adventure…but this one falls flat. It was long and boring and really didn’t go anywhere.
