Publisher's Summary

Kit Kenyon is a first-rate hostage negotiator. Noah Lambert is a good detective with excellent instincts. These new partners have hardly had time to get used to each other when they are thrown into a grisly murder case. As evidence mounts up and more victims are found, Kit and Noah realize that they are on the hunt for a serial killer. The problem is he may be hunting one of them, too.

Enjoyable read.

It was slow at first for me to get into this book, it took 'a minute', but was great, after I got there.

excellent series

I thoroughly enjoyed this end to the series, other than Kit's feelings toward her adoptive mother.

Whispery narration

I just couldn't deal with the whispery voice of this audible book. At all. So I skipped a lot of it. I can't really evaluate the story much because of that. Good mystery and suspense.

Narrator needs to practice.

Sometimes the narrator spoke so softly that I could not hear her unless I turned up the volume. Then she'd talk so loudly I'd have to lower the volume in a hurry. It was totally frustrating and I will not buy another book when she is narrator. She also was not very distinctive between the characters.

The story was a good one but since I had to keep my hand on the volume control I could not thoroughly enjoy it.

Loved this book.

It was a great book. It kept me guessing and interested to see the outcome. I also loved the emphasis on the faith of the characters. Their ups and downs and the fact of redemption.

good story narrator could be better

This is a good Easton story with a little bit of romance and a whole lot of mystery, although I knew who the murderer was fairly early. The author's voice was hard to hear at times when she went quiet. It was a little bit distracting.

Lynette Eason never fails to entertain

Love the suspense. As a Christian , I'm glad she's not afraid to show God's love and still not lose the story. Easy to see I'm not a writer but I love a good, clean, suspense. As for the performance, Kate Zane is fine for me, a couple of times I had to figure out who was who, but her overall performance was good for the story with good emotion.

Review of story line.

I like the way you write but why do the cops have to be targets in every book. I have read two series and always the cops are targets. I liked the reunion series.

Characters had a severe lack of depth.

Poor character and development. Situations in the book were rather unbelievable and quite far fetched.
