I enjoyed it, it kept me interested

I was so happy to see the next book finally dropped. I revisited the first book so I would remember all the details. it was a little jarring with the narrator change from the first one. the second one, I feel went a little over board with some accents. (looking at you Kai) but I eventually got used to it.

The story itself was good, with one or two things that bugged me just a little.. She becomes the queen of chosen one characters. (Move over Harry Potter) the chosen one Cliche was a little overdone, not to say too much, but damn, chosen by the gods indeed. there is a introduction of a new villian she told she has to destroy which I thought was kinda cheap. Like "by the way we know you have to deal with Morgan but you also have to destroy the Dark God as well just letting you know." and other then a creepy vision in a dark cave our characters don't encounter him at all.

Also didn't like the love triangle.. its obvious who she is going to choose in the end.. and I am angered on the other males behalf, since she won't admit it.

Once in a while there are POV changes which I liked and wish there was more of particularly with Frazer.

I feel like the first book was more balanced and better paced, but this sequel is still a good read for continuing the story.
