So much whinging...

loved it when I read it years ago and hate the audiobook. the main character is read as being so weak and stupid - I don't know how she manages to remember to breathe

Narrator was unable to do female character

I’ve read this book 10 times and his voice made Douglass seem like a simpering female. Love struck and weak. He did excellent Nicholas amd telling of story. Buy the book it is better

The narrators voice for Douglas ruins it a bit

The narrator constantly used a whiny whiny voice for Douglas that made it hard to feel redeeming features

Narration was a letdown but fun story

I read this book decades ago and loved it. It’s a little politically incorrect these days but still a fun read. The narrator’s cheesy attempt at acting and doing the female voices definitely took away from my enjoyment though.
