Publisher's Summary
"If you love a good enemies-to-lovers trope, run - don’t walk - to the nearest bookstore or library near you." (BuzzFeed)
"I couldn’t put it down!" (New York Times best-selling author Simone Elkeles)
When Tyson Trice finds himself tossed into the wealthy community of Pacific Hills, he expects not to belong. Not that he cares. After recovering from being shot and surviving the rough streets of Lindenwood, he doesn’t care about anyone or anything.
Golden girl Nandy Smith has spent most of her life building the pristine image it takes to make it in Pacific Hills. After learning that her parents are taking in a troubled teen boy, Nandy fears her summer plans and her reputation will go up in flames.
The wall between their bedrooms feels as thin as the line between love and hate. But their growing attraction won't be denied. Soon Trice is bringing Nandy out of her shell and Nandy's trying to melt the ice around Trice's heart. But with the ever-present pull back to Lindenwood, it’ll be a wonder if Trice makes it through this summer at all.

Love too strong for 17
The story was okay with a nice ending it kind of dragged for me on some parts, like get to it already. The main thing that got to me was the age of the characters, the emotions they were feeling were too adult. Like anyone older than 20 knows 90% of the time your 1st love won’t be your last, so it just seemed fake in that aspect. Like you guys are STILL in high school and any emotions you feel at 17 are childish. If they were college students and not high school students it would have made me want to feed into the love story more.

Such an Exploration of Paradoxes
I think that capturing the essence of being a teenager in this world is very hard... this comes from a teenager herself. Grandison does such an amazing job of creating a beautifully crafted exploration of two worlds separating, then colliding again. The side characters were also just as interesting as the main ones, which is novel gold. This is my second time reading the book, and it’s arguably better than the first.

2hours too long
Story was stretched for too long. Coulda been wrapped up in 8 hours but hey... Male narrator was perfect but the female narrator sounded like fingernails on a chalk board. As a first round draft pick for the devil's advocate crew (lol) I really wanted Shane to have a happy ending w/ ol boy. But Oh well... it is what it is

very in appropriate language for teens
This isn’t a review of the author’s skill in writing. But the story is not realistic for teenagers and their intense emotions about “love.” Also, just their lifestyle is not very realistic. It got very annoying.
But the worst part is the explicit language that is used. It is very inappropriate for youth. There should be some kind way to know this before purchasing.
Again, I’m sure the author is talented, but this story just… wasn’t it. I did finish it to see how it would end though.

I only wish Trice always spoke for Trice and Nandy always spoke for Nandy. Otherwise, I love it!

I tried to like it but couldn’t
I’m sorry, I tried to like it but I couldn’t. I couldn’t even finish it. It was too unrealistic for me. The time line didn’t work for me The main characters met when they were five, spent two maybe three summers together, then had no communication for 10 years, but still had these intense feelings. I think if the ages were different it would have been more believable.

high school romance and writing
This book is great if you're in high school and all about romance. I couldn't get through it. The characters are so unrealistic! By the fourth "omg does he love me?" I was done! I tried, and I'm sorry.
