Pretty good but would have liked it to be a little longer. Reading the next book in about 5 min, can't wait to see how it all ends.

Exciting Sequel

I highly recommend you read the first book, The Magpies, prior to reading this one. Although it could be a standalone novel, I feel you'd get much more out of it if you read the books in order. Five years after being tormented by his downstairs neighbors, Jaime finds himself enraged when his tormenter is released from prison. A stranger contacts him claiming that the previous neighbor is now doing the same thing to the stranger. Desperate to help and possibly seek his own revenge, Jaime goes to meet the stranger and discovers his previous neighbor is up to her old tricks again. This is an excellent sequel to The Magpies, and expands on the original story in delightful yet terrifying ways. I was shocked and delighted to continue the saga of Jamie vs the "Dark Angel" Lucy. Edwards constructed another twisty tale that kept me on the edge of my seat until the end. Although short, this sequel packs a powerful punch! I read it in one night, and I'm thrilled to move on to the final book in this series and am hopeful for an exciting conclusion.

Gasped out loud!

I was so enthralled in the story that I gasped out loud involuntarily. It was the middle of the night and I had to make sure I didn't wake up the rest of my family. Then I couldn't stop laughing at myself. That's how I know it is a good story and narrator. Finished in one night.

A Murder of Magpies

Wow, I have already downloaded the next book, I am absolutely hooked on this series. Love the way it was written and the story quite scary when you think people like that actually exist. An excellent series. The narration was excellent.

Seriously???

I read the first book and needless to say I was looking forward to the second book. Well after reading the second book it confirmed my views concerning Jaime. He's a bloody idiot. If there ever was a character who was too stupid to live it's Jaime. I get that the author wanted to make Jaime fallible but OMGOSH. I figured out the entire storyline when he received the email from the person asking for his help. Even a blind person could have seen through this crappy story; thus the ending wasn't much of a surprise at all. Seriously did you really need to dumb down the male character by making him so weak, stupid and gullible just to make him relatable?
