It features the New York Yankees beating the Tigers, 11-7, at Navin Field in Detroit. The game featured future Hall-of-Famers Lou Gehrig and Tony Lazzeri for the Yankees, and Charlie Gehringer and Hank Greenberg for the Tigers. Detroit would go on to win the American League pennant, but eventually lose to the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series, four games to three.
