This book pulled at my heart strings … I read some of it and I listened to other parts of it. 100% recommend if you need a good cry

Slow, Boring, And Repetitive
I struggled to finish this. I feel like the entire book could have been wrapped up two hours sooner than it did.
the story telling in the back half was repetitive, boring and the way the male main character was speaking about his girlfriend and his possessiveness of her in this relationship was extremely problematic for a young adult selection.
it actually got to the point where I was hoping certain characters would die just so it could be over. (And I didn't even get my wish, the book dragged on for another 30 minutes past that event)
The only thing that was great about this book was the voice actors, they did an amazing job and I would listen to narration by them again. Just hopefully on a better book.

TikTok made me do it
TikTok suggested this book to me. It's a bit different from my usual choice but I couldn't stop listening.
Poppy and Rune has me in tears multiple times.

Love!
Beautifully narrated with such emotion. The story of young love - heartbreaking, beautiful and fairytale like. I ugly cried. My tissue box is now empty - we should all hope to find such a love like Poppy and Rune's.

Mhh
I really wanted to cry for some reason like all the people on tiktok told me I would! But I didn’t, not even once. If I was a teen again, then maybe. But I find the story too childish and very unlikely.

A thousand tears shed
I have had so many people tell me to read this book but it took Audible for me to finally break down and do it.
I see the value in stories like this, I think there is something to learn in grief and heartbreak. I think you can't appreciate the good if you don't experience the bad. I think stories like this makes us more empathetic, sympathetic and kind.
That being said, holy moly was this one sad. I was prepared for it to be heartbreaking and that help, which is why I am warning everyone now... Be prepared to cry!
The narration was amazing. Both PJ and Katie seriously brought the story to life for me. Huge kudos to them!!

What in the cheesy is this?
At first the story was really good. I like a good love story and this was was kind of sad. But then more then story progressed the cheesier it got. The ending angered me! Wth! Just unrealistic and (spoiler alert) how the hell did he die? I’m aggravated.

This was a lovely story...tragic, and touching...and I was almost always fully engaged...BUT...there was some time in the beginning that I thought was drawn out a bit to long...and the ending left me needing more closure...like WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO RUNE? Other than that this was soooo sweet..and I loved Poppy and Rune and I shed tears of both sadness and joy...and I am glad they had a forever type of love...it was just an awful HEA ending...I mean I was like WOW...but I did enjoy this listen..and it is well worth your time and a credit!! SOB!!!!

One star bc I had to put it
I’m sorry but this was actually the worst book. First of all the accents were awful and made it unbearable to listen to the story. The story could’ve gotten better if they hated each other longer and built the drama but that lasted like 2 minutes.

My heart completely burst!
Oh my GOD! This book wrecked me! My heart completely burst!
I knew what I was getting into reading this book. I wanted something different and this book... I cried like a baby. It was true and raw emotion. Every page was perfection. The duo narration was spot on! Not only did I read this book but I also listened to the audio. I HAD to.
Rune & Poppy were everything a book couple could be.
Poppymin, Rune's endearment for Poppy. (My Poppy) Ahhh be still my heart.
These are two kids who instantly become best-friends. They grow together and fall in love. The kind of love that lasts a lifetime. Unfortunately their time together is short lived as the unfairness of life hits them hard.
So prepare yourselves for a good old cry. Grab them tissues and read on.
I'd totally read this book again & again. Its sweet and utterly heartbreaking.

Oh holy mother of all that is holy!!! This book seriously deserves so many more than 5 stars. A Thousand Boy Kisses is a book filled with so much love, adoration, heartbreak, angst, sorrow and iron clad proof that there is such a thing as a once in a lifetime love.
If you don’t mind bawling your eyes out and having your heart ripped to pieces little by little, grab this book now!! If you do mind tear jerkers, just read it anyway, everyone needs to read thing book!
