In 2003, software engineer David Miller left his job, family, and friends to hike 2,172 miles of the Appalachian Trail. AWOL on the Appalachian Trail is Miller’s account of this thru-hike from Georgia to Maine. I love this book. I am an avid hiker and this book is everything I love to read about. Everything is perfect!!!

Fourth time listening to this

I found it best to listen to this audiobook while on long highway drives. The story skims along so quickly that if I got distracted for a moment, I missed something. It is less introspection and more "I did this, I met this person, then I did this" type of writing. I still found it interesting, but it wasn't fantastic. #Audible1

I listened to this book during a long drive and found it difficult to maintain interest enough to follow along. It was quite anticlimactic and many parts were dull or redundant. I was unfortunately quite disappointed in the purchase. I read great reviews from others prior to purchasing so perhaps the content just wasn't my taste.
