Another incredible read. Not the usual Lisa Jewell but another that you cannot stop. Loved it!

Narration is key!

I have read a few of her books before so was looking forward to this one. Writing is good, as usual, Helen Duff gives a good performance. I just couldn't seem to care very much about the main characters. I liked Ralph but didn't like Jem, found her mainly irritating. Thought a couple of the secondary story lines petered out rather than resolved. Just left me underwhelmed.
I will definitely read her books in the future but this one didn't do it for me.

The characters were boring and had no explanation for their choices and interactions. On a scale of 1 to 10 the main characters stalled out at 3 and never developed from there. This author is capable of so much more and this book read like a lazy attempt.
