Publisher's Summary

Amateur sleuth Agatha Raisin is going through a man-hating phase and is unmoved by news of a captivating new curate. But when she meets the golden-haired, blue-eyed Tristan Delon, she is swept off her feet...along with every other female in the village. She is positively ecstatic when he invites her to dine with him, but the next day Agatha is left with a hangover from hell and Tristan is worse off: he's dead.

Good Fun

Always a fun read! lots of twists and turns. I think Agatha Raisin should start reading Detective stories herself so she could see the danger coming, as she is always doing things that you know in detective stories will end in disaster. She could save herself a lot of trouble if she did, LOL!

I don’t get the hype

The protagonist has no power of detection and is so full of herself that she is totally unbearable. I have seen many flawed detectives but at least they can solve cases. She can’t. And yes, a total misogynist too.
