Publisher's Summary

Suffering from bald patches thanks to a hair conditioner spiked with depilatory cream - supplied by the murderess in her last investigation - Agatha escapes to the coastal resort of Wyckhadden to allow her crowning glory to recover in privacy. A local witch provides her with hair tonic and Agatha’s lost locks begin to grow - but then the witch is found bludgeoned to death. The elderly residents at Agatha’s faded hotel seem innocuous enough, if a little odd. But, as she enquires into the murder she turns up an alarming number of secrets....

Recording errors

It was good, love the narrator, however there are errors in the recording. There was one part that seemed should have been removed with editing. There were portions missing but not so much that you couldn't piece together what may have been said.

Funny as ever.

There wasn't too much in the way of detective work. But the subplot of Agatha Raisin's hair, love potion and dismal love life was hilarious. The eccentric characters are really funny. As usual the narration by Penelope Keith is excellent.

Not to bad

If your listening to this series then you like it. Its a take it or leave it kind of books, I stop listening for a bit and picked it up when ever I found myself wonder what Aggie was up to.

She is simple and fun, layed by bad luck. I enjoyed it.

Unlikable character

Agatha clearly has an undiagnosed personality disorder and is so unlikeable as a main character. I can't root for her at all. She deserves every bad thing that happens to her and deserves to die alone. She definitely isn't an amateur detective and did not solve the crime. I really tries to like this book because the series is popular but it was a total waste of time. Give this one a miss. Narration was very good though.
