Im Speechless
Started slow and steady and picked up so much speed near the end I almost fell into the Abyss myself.

Can't wait for the next one
The story picks up right where it left off and you will feel like you are right at home in this universe within the first couple minutes of listening. Not only that but the story only gets more interesting as you dive into this one. Questions that need to know the answer to are dealt with in this book. It will be difficult for you to stop listening to this book. I found myself sitting in my car long after reaching my destination as I needed to hear a few more minutes. The only reason I cannot give the book 5 stars overall is because it is 13 hours long. I would have liked a bit more value for my credit or dollars. That being said you cannot skip this one. It is a must listen should you have listened to the previous books. I must applaud MJS for putting out some free content in relation to this series. He understands that this book is shorter than some people might like but he has his reasons. This is also easily mitigated by the wonderful free content that ties into the series.

Oooooh! Answers and MORE questions. I dont mind cliffhangers as long as they are done well. I think Sullivan does them well. Ita also great to have the next book just ready to be jumped in to. Here I come!

A good continuation of series, ends in cliffhanger
As always Tim Gerard Reynolds performance is excellent and as I have said before he really is the voice of both this and the Riyira series. He has just the right amount of seriousness, sarcasm and humour to bring the material to life.
This is a good continuation of the last book, it does end in a cliffhanger but it is less abrupt than the last book. In the last book their mystic was captured and most characters jumped into the unknown. This book ends more like the stage has been set for the final conflict.
This book definitely does NOT stand alone and you must read the series before this book.

They're dead! What do you mean there's more to com
I'm so happy that Michael J. Sullivan completes all the books in his series, before publishing them.
There have ben many fantasy stories about heroes visiting the underworld. This is the first I've ever seen where the characters are just passing through, rather than trying to do something there. Of course, the darker rulers intend that the trespassers remain below.

Unlike the other books, this one took a long time to develop, and the idea of meandering through the mythology and afterlife seemed a bit hollow. Was not eager to continue it when faced with the need to finish it and move on to another title.

A bit slow
While I have loved every single book in this series until now, I did find this one a bit slow. or perhaps it was that I couldn't fully get on board with the underworld setting. Either way, hopefully it set some foundation for a fabulous ending to the series.
