Publisher's Summary

The traumatized six-year-old boy hasn't said one word since the unsolved murder of his single mother. And now, the killer is after the child - and the devoted uncle raising him, Dr. Dylan Seabrook.

Working undercover in the boy's school, DEA agent Paige Ashworth is determined to find the murderer. But she can't tell Dylan her real identity, what she knows - or just how close to the case she really is. Dylan's strength and fierce love for his nephew soon have Paige longing to join their family. First, though, they must catch a killer who never wants little Alex to speak again.

Decent story, weak narration

The Christian underpinning was a delightful change from the typical book in the genre, but the narration was poor, and the narrator could not correctly pronounce a flap T; “She di-int see....” It was distracting and annoying.

Fell short of exciting

I love Lynette Eason! Her books are always so creative and intense. But unfortunately this one was pretty dull for me. Typically her plots are more intricate but this one seemed uninventive. Love her other series though!

A little corny

A pretty good murder mystery plot with a love story involving main characters. I would have given it a 5 star, but there is a lot of corny here. However, it actually is a mystery that keeps you guessing and it is well narrated and it has no sex or bad language. If these are appealing to you in a book, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Should be under Religious books

The narration and story line was good and I am fine with occasional religious references, however the author repetitively and increasingly makes reference to religious practices. Great if you are of the same practice.

more Christian Fiction than fiction about Christia

This book was okay, but not to my taste. I was expexting a mystery rather than Christian Fiction. A lot of the story was unoriginal and i figured out the bad guy at first meeting.

the book wasn't terrible and if you enjoy, literal, come to jesus talks, then this is the book for you.

Really good

I loved this story, but especially Will. What a sweet, caring child he is. Lots of action and some romance, I loved it.

Another great story from Lynette Eason

I loved this book and had a hard time putting it down. There was Romance, suspense and mystery but most important: God! The story reminds us that God never lets go and no matter the background,we come from we are loved!

The story also doesn’t pull punches when it comes to bad guys and evil is still present. However, God is stronger!!!

Surprisingly Great!!!

As I started to listen to the book which was a gift. I felt it to be off to a slow start but getting distracted and having to start again gave me a fresh start.
The The DEA Agents Faith was inspiring and I recommend this to anyone who likes a good Cop story, Faith story & Love story. You will love it..
characters were well done by the writer as well as narrator.
I was pleasantly surprised and this book and author are now near and dear to my heart for portraying what I believe are real people. Speaking about God and praying throughout the book made it real & uplifting to me. As a Medically retired Marine 0300 who deployed to none faction spots, unless you are an 03 who likes it, then they were 5 stars. But praying in everyday life and praying when your life or the lives you are responsible for are in the line. Made me realize I wasn’t alone. Obviously your not praying in a gunfight but before and after you are.

Duped

There was no indication whatsoever that this was a religious proselytizing book in the description. Really hope I didn’t pay for this one and that it was a freebie. Definitely falsely reviewed.
