It took me years to get over my fiance sleeping with another woman. I thought my luck with men had finally turned around until I walked in on my new fiance with my maid-of-honor.

I'm done with men entirely. I'm definitely old enough to know better than to let that happen to me again. Trust isn't something I have in me to give...to anyone. At least, not anymore. The moment I laid eyes on Ellie, I knew she'd be full of spit and vinegar. And why wouldn't she be? Maybe having her work for me in my vet clinic wasn't the smartest move I've ever made considering I can't stop my body from aching for her. I am so amused by the male narrator but his imitation of ms. Polly has me picturing the mean old lady from Madagascar.

Kinda hallmark…. Until it gets steamy of course…

A sweet, slow burn, small town romance. The narration of the audiobook kept me entertained while listening, but the story itself didn't leave a lasting impression. It's a one time read/listen type of book for me.

like the story but switching the narrator between chapters was very annoying. male narrator made female characters sound nasal and whinny. ms Polly sounded senial. totally broke the flow of story. if you are going to have two narrators make sure that they each stick to the same character throughout story. also if you have a male and female

The male narrator is really bad at female voices. A bit cringey even, especially with the older ladies. The characters are probably supposed to be in their 60s, not 90 years old. But the voices used make the capable women sound feeble and rickety.

He also reads too quickly and doesn't leave enough pause between sentences. Feels rushed. I reduced the playback speed but that obviously makes the female chapters slow too, which were recorded at a good pace.

The story, however, is super cute!! Yes, extremely cheesy and predictable, but made me smile often. The characters are also quite witty, which I adore!

Nice story. It was very cutesy.
the male narrator doesn't do female voices well, I wasn't a fan but overall the performance was good.
side note who the f says good golly?!? I couldn't deal with some of the vocabulary of the fmc.

I really loved this low drama, medium speed romance. Every character except for Gary was perfect. Love these small town love stories and will read other books by this author.
