Publisher's Summary

On the brink of chaos, the journey of survival begins.

Landon Gray, a skillful "ferry pilot" who delivers planes to customers has one final drop in Alabama before Christmas. But when an EMP causes the plane he’s in to crash on the remote, snow-covered mountains of North Carolina, he’s rescued by Beth "Bluebird" Sullivan, who claims to have lived off the grid since she was born. Beth brings him back to an isolated cabin to recover while waiting for her father to come back from the nearby town. When he doesn’t return, Beth grows increasingly worried while Landon struggles with being far from home. Discovering what the country has suffered is just the beginning, they must now learn to trust each other in order to survive the extreme elements and dangers of a world without power.

All That Remains is book one in Lone Survivor, a post-apocalyptic EMP thriller series following a group of survivors as they fight to stay alive after an EMP destroys the nation's power supply.

EMP with a wealth of Drama

Its amazing how much this audiobook makes you realize how bad things could get and how people might act as something like this could happen. I could not stop listening till I was done with the book and wanting more! It reminds me of some of the best drama series that are on TV.

Sorta dark storyline

I’m a bit torn on this book, it wasn’t bad by any means, actually it was pretty good. What has me torn is the reactions to things or lack there of. Serious stuff happens and people just move past it or barely react to it. On the other hand it was a pretty original story line of the tried and true emp scenario. I’ll more than likely get the next book in the series.

I was giving this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Buckle up!

All That Remains is the first book in a new survival series from Jack Hunt. While it hits many of the tropes you expect from the genre (telling the multiple-connected story lines), it's a tighter, more personal story than in other books I've read/listened to. None of the characters are what you'd categorize as diehard preppers, though a number of them are familiar with the concepts of survival. The book features an interesting cast and an exciting story, featuring a number of issues I haven't seen in other survival books. I look forward to seeing where the story goes from here. Miles Meili does a great job with the narration. I was given a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Onward to the next one!

Really liked this book the more I listened. Wasn't sure where the author was going with the characters at one point and was confused. Then it became clear and interesting. Once this happened I couldn't put this one down. The narrator did an amazing job and kept me interested in what was going on. Money well spent...can't complain and will listen to the next one.

Very Real and Wonderful read!

I very much enjoyed this and loved how real this played out. I was invested in the characters and wanted to see their story play out. There was heartbreak and crazy moments and that kept the momentum going! It was a very good quick listen for me. I just want to say Beth was my favorite! I can't really touch on my favorite parts without giving it away but this is a great read! Jack Hunt did a fantastic job writing a very realistic story and Miles Meili did a fantastic job bringing his words to life! He has an amazing voice and I think it was perfect for this audiobook! I can't wait to see whats in store for these survivors!

Short but sweet

A short book but it is much better than the usual 'prepper' porn of the genre.

Interesting characters but its a short story and feels very unfinished on purpose, more or less half a book.

Just another Apocalypse story

I would have rated it higher, but I am getting tired of authors saying bad things about the President, and insulting half their readers.
