I really enjoyed first book in this series because it followed a young woman with relatable problems and described in detail how she went about her daily life and work as a seamstress. I can’t even remember the second book. But this third book is so boring, the only part I remember is a sex scene that isn’t even real, just a dream. I’m not sure how the writer fell off so hard, but she did

I could not stop listening… the voice acting is unreal. This story is so gorgeously written. I loved all the characters…

This series has quickly become one of my favourites. While All This Twisted Glory was perhaps less eventful than the previous two books, I was hanging on to every moment.

A major pattern within this book (and the previous as well) is the repeated revelations made by the each of the characters by means chaotic dialogue and passionate outbursts. I could feel their frustration at the slow trickle of information because it became my own. However, the layers and layers of revelation were not superfluous, because they added depth and subtlety to each character’s motives.

Ah and poor, tortured Cyrus 😭 I think if he doesn’t end up with Alizeh in a happy ending I might never recover. I’ll be off now, to listen and relisten to the series while we wait for Mafi to serve us the next slice of her incredible mind.

The author detailed every thought and feeling of emotion to the point that the story went nowhere. From the last book to this one almost nothing happened. I think this could be a very interesting story but it will take 50 books to tell it at this rate.
