Publisher's Summary

BONUS! Contains a fun question & answer session between narrators Jason Clarke & Erin Mallon during the last ten minutes of the recording.

I know it’s time to move on from my rocky past and get back out there and start dating again.

It’s just that every time I think about it, I get all nervous and sweaty.

Good thing I have a secret weapon to help me - my best friend, professional hockey stud Owen Parrish.

He’s the king of hookups, and promises he’ll be my guide through the world of online dating. With his help, I know this won’t be as hard.

I’ve never been this hard in my entire life.

My friend Becca wants my help hooking her up with some douchey guy from a dating app.

I said I’d help her - but now I’m noticing all kinds of things I can’t ignore, like how pretty she is behind those baggy clothes and messy buns.

I want to be the one to help her, to show her the ropes in the bedroom, and it turns out, Becca’s game to let me take a more hands-on approach.

But what happens when she’s ready to take her newfound confidence and move on? I’ve never been boyfriend material, but for her, I want to try.

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all new stand-alone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!

(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)

Great Narration - Weak Storyline

Narrators did a great job and I am super picky about this… I enjoyed listening to them and could get into it easily with their voices feeling they matched up well to the characters. I thought the story line lacked depth. I wanted more out of it and thought there was potential for the writer to go deeper. It was very surface level and I doubt I will pick up the other books in the series based on that fact alone. I also was disappointed that Owen is a professional hockey player however he could have been a janitor for all I knew. There really wasn’t much in way of his career (which was a pull for me to read this as I love sports romances). The only thing the reader took away from his profession was that he had money, was in shape, and had women willing to throw themselves at him. It was an ok listen.. what made it bearable was the narrators. Overall this story was lackluster and left me wanting more out of it.

Swoon!

Owens character was so sweet and heart felt. Nothing like the douchy guy I thought he would be. I loved that his character was so straight forward and we listened to him fall in love rather than just her. Most books have the guy being a total player and then in the end there is this epiphany where they realize “omg” I’m in love. In this book he was like yea I’m gonna help you because I’ve always been attracted to you but never wanted to cross that line.. and then we watch and he falls for her day by day.. even at the end she is still insecure and he is sure that he will marry her one day and they will have babies.. I mean seriously.. ovary explosions everywhere!!! More more please

Noooo

I listened to the first boom and it was great. Adorable, cute, easy read. This one is just stupid. And the narrator, omg baddd. She’s so breathy about everything and the story is so ridiculous! I get it, we aren’t listening to Shakespeare here but give me “somewhat believable”. LoL I’m going to veto this one.

HEART, HUMOR, HEAT & HOT JOCKS

What an enjoyable and entertaining slow-burning friends-to-lovers story this was as hotshot Playboy Owen tries to help his insecure friend Becca with her sexual unease after being nearly raped in College and now, years later, she still can’t get intimate with anyone. So, who better to help her than Owen her best friend’s hot shot brother and her close friend.. the drool-worthy ‘one and done’ commitment shy Goalie for the Seattle Ice Hawks. The attraction is there, the chemistry is definitely there and the agreement to keep it ‘strictly casual’ underlined in bold is there too.. so what could possibly go wrong? Well hmm tap my chin and let me think.. it could wake you both up to what’s been right under your noses all this time.. love.. sweet, possessive, powerful, can’t keep your hands off each other, character changing, kindred spirits love. Worth a credit? Of course the dual POV f-t-l plot has been done before but, when Kendall Ryan, Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon are the ones creating the story and bringing the feels and flurries to life, you know it’s going to be great and that it’s going to be sweet, sexy, romantic, lighthearted and fun. This drama-lite heartwarming journey takes root from something dark.. but it pushes boundaries, ignites feelings, conquers ghosts and finds soulmates who trust, love and risk it all when the right person comes along. And yes, IMO, it’s creditworthy.. and the short Q & A session between Erin and Jason was insightful, refreshing and fun too.. thanks guys x.

Jason Clarke

Can I just say...Jason...Clarke. Geez the man has an amazing voice. I loved Owen and Becca's story. I liked Elise and Justin's more but that didn't take away from this book. Owen was a man that took advantage of convenient randoms, he just needed Becca to show him he could be a real man. Loved it! Readers knock Erin, but I love her and she does a great male voice.

This is a fun story!

This story was so much fun to listen to. Have to say the narrators were awesome. Jason Clarke is 1 of my 2 top male narrators he has such a range of voices that just change easily through the dialogue. The story of Owen and Becca is swoon worthy. Two people finding there way through what a relationships means to them while Owen trying to help Becca to see how strong she really is and Becca showing Owen how he deserves so much more. It was really a great book. No big drama between characters just fun hearing about evolving relationships.

End Interview

I am a Kendall Ryan fan, so I expected a good read. But, I've never heard or don't remember Jason Clarke narrate a book, and I really like him. I especially liked the end Interview between the narrators...very cool.

Loved this book!

I thought the storyline of this book was amazing. I felt like it was modern and new. The story was obviously a romance novel, but it was refreshing because it was different from a lot of the cliche books we normally read in this specific genre. I’ve read a few others from this series and loved them, but this was definitely my favorite! Kendall Ryan is an amazing author and every single book I’ve read from her has been wonderful.
