Publisher's Summary

New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands returns with the unforgettable story of a reluctant bride and groom who soon find common ground in the bedroom....

Bastard daughter to the king, Rosamunde was raised in a convent and wholly prepared to take the veil...until King Henry declared she would wed Aric, one of his most valiant knights. Suddenly she found herself promising to love, honor, and obey.

Rosamunde's education had not covered a wedding night, but the handsome warrior she was now bound to seemed intent on giving her a lesson in the art of pleasure. In no time, Aric was certain, she would surrender to the irresistible passion he promised.

And while Rosamunde's spirited nature often put her at odds with her new husband, his mastery in seduction was quickly melting her resolve - and capturing her heart.

Funny, laugh out loud

A wild tale. A true fiction but very amusing and funny . The narrator was horrible. Wonderful in the female. Horrible as a male. Good heavens. I have a real issue with there is no distinction between a male and female, even secondary male characters was undistinguishable. The book was amusing for me. I suffered thru the narration because of the humor

I Love Lynsay Sands' historical books.

This story was a little wordy in some areas and with a 'modern' word or expression here and there.
BUT!
I have to say though, regardless of the above comment, it is an exceptional read.
For the 'Historical Puritans', this may be off putting to you, but with a few 'tug at the heart strings moments' and several LOL moments, I really enjoyed it and it will go in my 'To Be Read Again' library, along with all my other L.S. historical books.
India Baldwin did a great narration.
Well worth the credit!

Very sweet story

This book was good and had a lot of twists and turns which kept you involved with the characters. I would recommend it as an easy listening story.

Not my favorite

I usually really enjoy Lynsay Sands stories but this one was disappointing. The endless nativity of the lead female over and over and the control and obey me attitude of the lead male for most of the story was frustrating and lasted far to long. I kept wishing it would change. it doesn't however deter my desire to listen to other books by Lynsay.

Loved this book!

I typically listen to my audiobooks when driving but this one was so good I spent a day and a half attached to my eye phone listening to it around the house. Very entertaining and a typical wonderful read from Lynsey Sands

hilarious !!

this was truly a wonderful story and I burst out laughing several times... Rosamunde was truly innocent and sometimes as clueless as a blonde... but strong.

It trys but lacks sizzle

I didn't like the sound of the narrators voice. It wasn't sultry or sexy it was awkward. Plot was predictable but I still wanted to see exactly how it would turn out. The hero acted like a spoiled brat most of the time idk it was just ok. Won't listen to another book by this narrator.

I really wanted to love it!

I found that for most of the story I didn't like Aric at all. He was so unreasonable and seemed to border on childish in his "distrust" of his wife, all based on his former fiancée. He yelled too much and I think it's a good thing that Henry never got to see the way Aric reacted...else Aric WOULD have been drawn and quartered! It was a good book, but not a great book. All of the other Lynsay Sands books I have read so far have been great!
