Publisher's Summary

New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands returns with the unforgettable story of a reluctant bride and groom who soon find common ground in the bedroom....

Bastard daughter to the king, Rosamunde was raised in a convent and wholly prepared to take the veil...until King Henry declared she would wed Aric, one of his most valiant knights. Suddenly she found herself promising to love, honor, and obey.

Rosamunde's education had not covered a wedding night, but the handsome warrior she was now bound to seemed intent on giving her a lesson in the art of pleasure. In no time, Aric was certain, she would surrender to the irresistible passion he promised.

And while Rosamunde's spirited nature often put her at odds with her new husband, his mastery in seduction was quickly melting her resolve - and capturing her heart.

Not her finest story but still funny.

I love Lynsay Sands and will continue to buy her books. The plot was very thin with the hero being driven by jealousy and the heroine demuring to him and tending injured animals. it would have worked better of there was more for the characters to do, different motivations, more layers to them. That said, it is still Lynsay Sands which means there were a few very funny moments in it. The narration was excellent.

Funny, laugh out loud

A wild tale. A true fiction but very amusing and funny . The narrator was horrible. Wonderful in the female. Horrible as a male. Good heavens. I have a real issue with there is no distinction between a male and female, even secondary male characters was undistinguishable. The book was amusing for me. I suffered thru the narration because of the humor

I Love Lynsay Sands' historical books.

This story was a little wordy in some areas and with a 'modern' word or expression here and there.
BUT!
I have to say though, regardless of the above comment, it is an exceptional read.
For the 'Historical Puritans', this may be off putting to you, but with a few 'tug at the heart strings moments' and several LOL moments, I really enjoyed it and it will go in my 'To Be Read Again' library, along with all my other L.S. historical books.
India Baldwin did a great narration.
Well worth the credit!

Very sweet story

This book was good and had a lot of twists and turns which kept you involved with the characters. I would recommend it as an easy listening story.

Not my favorite

I usually really enjoy Lynsay Sands stories but this one was disappointing. The endless nativity of the lead female over and over and the control and obey me attitude of the lead male for most of the story was frustrating and lasted far to long. I kept wishing it would change. it doesn't however deter my desire to listen to other books by Lynsay.

Great Story

The story was good and super funny. I like the way the characters kept misunderstanding each other.

Don't Bother

I don't understand why this book has good reviews. I love historical romance and can listen to all kinds even cheesy ones but this book was an absolute no. I could only make it through 6 chapters. The Hero is the worst hero ever. He is totally clueless, and not pleasant to the heroine, which she is totally naive but very sweet. The hero's friend would have made a better character to play the part. The hero in this book was just an idiot from the beginning. I had to return this book which I rarely do. I would not listen to this.

Great story line

This was a good book, mostly sexual if you're into that I personally like the history and the storyline more than the sexual escapades. Her books are generally pretty good but just a lot of sexual content.

A good choice if you want to feel really annoyed.

The writing was very good, the performance of the book was great, but the lead male character was arrogant and stupid and had no redeeming qualities and was simply irritating.
