À propos de cet audio
A mind-bending dramatic production based on the short stories of N. K. Jemisin, the 21st century’s most-honored writer of speculative fiction.
A barely employed tech worker has never felt they belonged. Not in society, not even in their own family. Their days are filled with loneliness, a struggle to survive and a desperate search for connection—even if that connection is merely virtual.
Now, a black-market hacker promises to open a new world for them, and it works—in ways no human has ever experienced.
They find a world of wonder, of possibilities and of danger—where their new virtual reality could mean the end of their physical reality. And what they discover could change the fate of humankind—forever.
Amorph is based on N. K. Jemisin’s short stories “The Trojan Girl” and “Valedictorian,” which were adapted for this Audible Original by Chené Lawson.
Available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

as in,
I expected, a bit more of the 3rd act stretched over time. But with it being almost on novella in size, one can't expect much more than that.
very well Voice acted and pretty easy to follow as far as a not so flung far future...
" was that too many 'fars'? ..seems like too many 'fars'"
" and f .y .I.?! i googled 'far flung future'"
The concept was fun as in the sort of "choose your own adventure" happy ending, were mankind is given a choice instead of just feeding the reader The author's rhetoric on what they were feeling when they wrote the book. instead left it kind of open ended. So you, the reader, can let your final Imagined climax, or anti-climax be your final take, on a step into the unknown... That is, of course, unless there's another book coming out 🤔. in which case I can see if my conclusion was correct... I guess. 😐
🤫*Spoiler*🤐
I don't have much faith in mankind, but I love the thought that they would choose to evolve.
Anyway that's just my takeaway.
However, I find most people don't understand my takeaways. As if perhaps I was reading a completely different book, not sure what That's about!? outside the box, perhaps. maybe genius? or eccentricity? or, psychosis ?
This is all coming from a guy who read an entire book. ( rachel Kaine, a weather warden series, Undone, book one ) And on the last three pages realized he had read the book before and completely forgot everything up to the last three pages... emmm. that or he only read the last three pages and forgot THAT.
that would be a combination of eccentric AND genius.
which is a psychosi..🤯
i hit the trifecta. yeaaaaay
....micro anthology? macro saga? seministopian?
