The second is the love story of how Daphne and David, who devoted their lives to saving elephant orphans, at first losing every infant under the age of two until Daphne at last managed to devise the first-ever milk formula which would keep them alive.
This recording contains a bonus track featuring an interview with Virginia McKenna in which she talks about her own conservation work and her friendship with Daphne Sheldrick.

Loved it!
I have been following the David Sheldrick Foundation on the Internet for some years now. Virgina made me feel as if Daphne herself were telling the story. Should I see her name as narrator on another book, I won't hesitate to get it! Thank you Daphne and David Sheldrick for all you endured and gave to the elephants and other creatures who came needing your love and nurturing. What a life. What a legacy.

The beauty and wonderment of elephants
Wow!!! What a beautiful and enlightening story… and so well narrated by Virginia!! Having had the opportunity of learning about the intricacies of elephants in Botswana… this store was heartwarming and special… great work done and a huge thank you for letting the readers a bettter understanding of elephants and the amazing work that is being by this foundation. Great read! Enjoyed thoroughly!!! And especially the last segment talk with the narrator!
