A great listen

A great Christian historical novel. Thanks for doing the research behind it Francine Rivers. This makes it worth more than one not based on history

5 stars!

"An Echo in the Darkness" by Francine Rivers is an absolutely amazing book that had me completely hooked from start to finish. I listened to the Audible series, and the narration was excellent, adding to the overall experience. The character of Hadassah, hidden under a veil, added a captivating mystery to the story. I would definitely give it five stars. The book explores themes of faith, love, redemption, and sacrifice, and the characters' journeys are compelling and thought-provoking. Overall, it's a gripping historical novel that I couldn't stop listening to.

Exceptional

Francine Rivers has really done a magnificent job with this series, I would like to also commend Richard Ferrone for his incredible performance with all the voices that he did in this reading. Couldn’t stop listening. I’m very much looking forward to the last book in the series.

Oh wow!! I guess l spoke too soon.

l thoroughly enjoyed this 2nd book of The Mark of the Lion series, and l think l spoke too soon on the first book, but that was my experience. Please read the entire series. I found out a few Bible truths and others have become more engraved and imprinted on my heart within the pages of this 2nd book. I can't wait to read the last one! Am happy that the same narrator's beautiful voice continues.

Wonderful story

Such a great story. So emotional. So much truth, beauty and transformation. A must read. Changes one’s own heart. Brings the truth and love of God to light in the understanding of what it really is to die to one’s self. Wonderfully read. Can’t wait for the next book.

Amazing!

This is my favourite book series, Mark the Lion. Echo in the darkness is my favourite book in that series. It is full of historical description. The characters are well developed, this book I’ve read and listen to multiple times it’s full of encouragement, hope and faith. I highly recommend it and the rest of the series!

Simply stretching things out for not great reasons

This book seemed to lack plot and much happening, especially compared to the first book. the main things that happened was that the whole family got saved. But in terms of actions, it was a whole 18 hours of them searching. And not too much thought was presented in the search for God. But this could just be a personal opinion. Just seemed to drag on and on and on unnecessarily and unrealistically. Marcus wouldn't have taken that long and been that oblivious. I can see the appeal to some, In contrast to the first book, I would say this one is a completely different style. Which is okay, but you may be expecting it to be similar to the first book. The first book can stand alone, and should. If you liked the first book, by no means read this one thinking it follows the same story as the first or is similar to the first. It is the second book and the same characters, but nothing like the first book.
