I liked that the authors gave a short background at the beginning on the norms of the period and what they took liberties with. The murder plotline itself was okay; and I actually liked the matchmaking part of the story, enough that I'm going to check out the next book. I wasn't too keen on the narrator though.

Not very good, quite unrealistic. The characters are one dimensional and some quite silly. Reasonable enough in the background while doing something else. The narrator was ok with the female characters but not good with the males. I might listen to the next book as it currently doesn’t require a credit.

I have always said that the narrator can make or break a book for me. This was one of those times. Also I found it very hard to get interested cause the first couple of chapters were kind of all over the place. Could get past 4 chapters.
