Best Event Group yet ...!

Kept you wanting to hear the next line. I would come home and listen until I had to get up and continue on with my daily life. You know it's good when you are sorry it's over😓

Uneven but a Good Listen

The basic story of Ancients is good and a great step for The Event Group. The characters at times get a little caricature-like and the writing is is at a high school level at times, but still engaging.

The reader does a good job with the characters that are Americans. But, not as good on Asians or with the Ancients at the beginning of the story.

All that being said, the pace is good and continuing Event Group action is worth a listen.

I think this has been my favorite Event Group book so far. From the depiction of how Atlantis originally fell and the world's transformation, to the battle between the Group and the Juliai Coalition ((Spelling?)) I really enjoyed the story. I only had a couple issues with the book. The big one was that, although the Characters are well written, there's no growth. All the main characters are the same as they have been since book one. Hopefully we'll see some movement on this in the later books. Aside from the few problems, I enjoyed that "The Frenchman" isn't the main obstacle for the Group. Especially with that abrupt, and ((in my opinion)) anticlimactic death of his wife, that I'm sure is going to affect his character in the future but I liked that we're not going straight into it. Having essentially the same one bad guy, even one as capable as Farboe, throughout the entire series would have been a little repetitive. Finally....That ending man...Where's book Four?

Location, location, location

What makes a book memorable is the setting. You may forget the protagonist's name, but you never forget a great setting or a strong antagonist. While the novel starts out a might difficult to follow (especially for first time readers), once you get into the flow, the setting makes up for it. I mean, come on, sunken Atlantis? What better site for an end-of-days drama?

Syfy and mythology

Other than maybe having too much detailing in some action sequences, this is a good retelling of one of our oldest and most favorite myths. its tying together of the original stories of Atlantis with science and imagination was most enjoyable.

My first choice of The Event Horizon series.

Very good. Perfect fiction. Enjoyed from beginning to end. lExcellent performance as usual. Can't wait for my next Event..

Good story

Loved everything except a few small details that are personal peeves and probably wont matter to the average reader/listener. For example, when the author described a specific hand gun, he calls it an automatic when in fact it is a semi- automatic. He calls magazines, "clips" and the most irritating of all; he describes body armor as Mylar instead of Kevlar. Kevlar is ballistic material. Mylar is what your potato chip bags are made of.

Other than that, it was a good story. I liked it.

Killing the hero

Why the hell would you kill of the hero of your series when you have abuttload more books to put out? why is it the cool thing to do nowadays to kill off the hero in the story. PISS POOR!!!

The event group series is a great serial which at times requires you to suspend reality...but that is part of fiction.

Excellent Book!

These Event Group books are a blast to read. I’m a big fan so far. Full of imagination and action as well as real life. David L. Golemon is a very talented writer and Richard Poe is my favorite narrator I’ve ever listened to. Definitely read these books in sequence as the character building is pretty critical to the storyline and their experiences together.
