Good book, recommend reading/ listening to books 1-6 of the series for deeper understanding of the characters. I finished it in 3 days. Easy to understand and listen to.

The framework is well known and, spoilers aside, the incarnation takes its position only at the end.

Too much time spent on justifying relationships between old men and minor girls. Also with asides about men being victims of their urges.

I feel let down by this conclusion of the series, but let’s be honest and admit that it must be read by everyone that read the first books.

Spoilers: After getting uncomfortable with glossing over how the character Vita was r*ped by her own father and none of the adults helping her would even try to make her see that telling her mother what he did and "breaking up the family" is both morally and legally just we're then faced with what has got to be the most batsh!t plot twist.

They're looking for a potential replacement for literal God and by chapter 7 their prime candidate is a judge who takes this young victim of incest and later literal human trafficking into his home. After seemingly rebuffing a young girl's infatuation he admits he is attracted to "women on the younger side" and then on a trip to the woods indulges himself (ie commits statutory r*pe). Meanwhile all the adults around this poor girl keep going on about how he is a good man. I literally could not listen any further.

I have been a fan of this author for years. He never disappoints. His work will enlighten you if you are open to the humanity, widen your mind to new ways of thinking, leave you feeling satisfied as a reader at the end, and looking forward to reading his next one.
