A once up-and-coming detective, she's been given this beat as punishment after filing a sexual harassment complaint against a supervisor. Worst performance of a bosh book
I’ve listened to every Bosh book prior to this one. I’ve totally enjoyed the books and the narration but my goodness the narrator has totally killed the story with his performance.
Please take some advice skip this book and move on to another book with a better story teller. If I could get my money back on this one I would.

Angels Flight-INaudible!
Too bad such a good book was read so poorly. Burt's attempts to whisper is a low course voice and the way he fades away make this book INaudible. I could barely understand him while listening in my car.

This is just horrible
Would you try another book from Michael Connelly and/or Burt Reynolds?
Not from Burt no!!!
How could the performance have been better?
Burt sounds like he is drunk or stoned. I am a fan of Connelly but the quality of this recording is so bad it's unbearable.
Any additional comments?
This just makes me angry, I want my money back!!!

Great book read badly
This was a great book when I heard it on cassette tape by another reader. Please wait until they have the unabridged version with the other reader.

Angels Flight
I am a big fan of Connelly novels, and have listened to at least four of them through Audible.com. However, in the case of this audio book "Angels Flight," narrator Burt Reynolds made listening to this book pure torture! Pls get someone else to read the book.

Angels Flight
I am a lover of Michael Connelly's books but I only listened to one cd and I went some where else and bought the Unabridged version read by Dick Hill! Burt should stick to Smokey and the Bandit! His reading is boring and I restarted the cd several times and still lost intrest. I will check who reads from now on!

don't bother
I have been going back and listening to all of Connelly's books. ( rate his others as 4 or 5's BUT -- this one is not the same quality -- I think it is the narrator ( really bad!), but maybe also since it is abridged, the character development doesn't show up? sound it self is also poor somehow

Get The Unabridged Version
Absolutely horrible narration. You can't even tell when Burt changes characters, and he whispers darn near the whole thing.....just plain bad. I could not finish this book, even after 2 attempts. It's abridged and you can really tell - they took out way too much material to keep the story interesting. The 2 star rating for the story is probably not the authors fault, but rather the person who abridged it.
I bought the unabridged version narrated by Dick Hill and it was great.

Good Story
This audiobook is typical Connelly / Harry Bosche fare. It's a good story and will keep your attention.
I would have given it a higher rating, but the Burt Reynolds reading is uninspiring, and I would have preferred an unabridged version, if one exists.

Horrible narration.
What was most disappointing about Michael Connelly???s story?
Didn't finish the book, so I can't say anything about the story, but Audible made me rate it (above).
Would you be willing to try another one of Burt Reynolds???s performances?
I tried to listen to this book, but only got an hour into it and had to ditch it. I'm trying to listen to the whole Harry Bosch series in order, but I'll have to find time to actually read this one sometime. HORRIBLE narration. Reynolds is too slow, his voice is too gravelly and the inflection is bad. Nothing good to say about the narration.

Can't handle Burt
The story was good but I personally can't handle Burt Reynolds reading it. I will never listen to another one he does. The story was very good though.
