Publisher's Summary

George Orwell's timeless and timely allegorical novel - a scathing satire on a downtrodden society's blind march towards totalitarianism. The book tells the story of a group of farm animals who rebel against their human farmer, hoping to create a society where the animals can be equal, free, and happy. Ultimately, however, the rebellion is betrayed, and the farm ends up in a state as bad as it was before, under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon. Today it is devastatingly clear that wherever and whenever freedom is attacked, under whatever banner, the cutting clarity and savage comedy of George Orwell's masterpiece have a meaning and message still ferociously fresh.

truly funny

Animal farm is a very good little book. It is a fun satirical look at communism which in my opinion should be considered required reading for youth in any western nation.

Georgie Boy!

An excellent read. Almost word for word from the movie, it really does make you think how people should not be complacent and ask questions of their government.

Terrible editing, good performance, great story.

I came away from this unsure if I actually got the full story. The editing was all over the place with some parts of chapters read twice, with the strange choice to include the performer working out how to pronounce a word... besides that the volume between takes would differ greatly and would sound jarring and often be cut in the middle of sentences. The quality of the performance was fine, but the editing really made it suffer.

Terrible editing

Repeated segments, pauses, swallowing sounds, narrator stumbles on difficult words, and sounds them out phonetically. This wasn’t ready for audio book publication.
