The best audio version yet!

I've listened to multiple versions of this story in audio form and I'm so glad for the this project being headed by Megan Follows. Catherine O'Hara gives a refreshing and believable take on Marilla and Michela Luci's Anne avoids the common pitfall of making Anne irrating in audio form. Luci's Anne is endearing and optimistic, and for a bonus we get Sandra narrating? So good. Please don't stop at the first book, but continue through the whole series!

Reminds me of my beloved childhood watching the series and reading the books.
Excellent performances and narration. I can see it also clearly in my mind’s eye.

Like listening to a play

I read an article about this audio book, mentioning that Megan Follows was directing it. Since my childhood, Meagan Follows has been the only Anne Shirley in my eyes. I've also enjoyed seeing her in the show Heartland as an adult. She did a wonderful job directing this reading. It did not disappoint!
Being a red head myself, I've always loved the story of Anne of Green Gables. It has always been near and dear to my heart! Thank you to Megan, as well as all of the performers who made this book a delight to listen to.
I loved how whenever they were watching a performance, they acted it out in the background, allowing the listener to feel like they are actually there with them. And the sound of emotion in the character's voices let me feel what they must have been feeling.
Thank you to everyone who worked on this project!

Wonderfully presented

The cast and production were excellent. I think my favourite part though is how well this presentation reflected the spirit of the book and characters.

A much loved story brough to life

What a delight to listen to this much-loved story brought to life. Sandra Oh does an excellent job of narrating this tale of Anne Shirley, the orphan with a vivid imagination. The character parts are also read extremely well. Anne sounds exactly as I imagined she would and Mirilla and Mathew are well-cast. I have read this novel several times over the years. Listening to Lucy Maude Montgomery's vivid descriptions of Prince Edward Island transported me back there once again. Well done!

Very well done

Megan Follows, the consummate Anne Shirley directed this version and it was very well done. Almost half again as long as the 1985 version, this audio drama contains a few more gems from the book than would fit into the movie.

It's so beautiful and lively

I tried this book for my daughter, and she falls love with it.
We can listen this book in the car, and the sound is just stunning.
If you have a home theater, this would be perfect.
If not, experience in the car is also awesome .

Surprisingly wonderful

I am not drawn to these types of books as a general rule (the prarie living books from the day and age of my grandparents). In fact the only reason I chose to listen to this is because I have been regularly falling asleep to books I wanted to read and wanted one to listen to as I was falling asleep. That being said, this was wonderfully done and casted. I easily finished all 9 episodes in less than 2 days and enjoyed the beautiful world portrayed. I already have a list of people I plan to suggest this audiobook to and am happy I stumbled upon this dramatization.
