Publisher's Summary

The highly anticipated sequel to New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr's What We Find transports listeners back to Sullivan's Crossing. The rustic campground at the crossroads of the Colorado and Continental Divide trails welcomes everyone - whether you're looking for a relaxing weekend getaway or a whole new lease on life. It's a wonderful place where good people face their challenges with humor, strength, and love.

For Sierra Jones, Sullivan's Crossing is meant to be a brief stopover. She's put her troubled past behind her, but the path forward isn't yet clear. A visit with her big brother, Cal, and his new bride, Maggie, seems to be the best option to help her get back on her feet. Not wanting to burden or depend on anyone, Sierra is surprised to find the Crossing offers so much more than a place to rest her head. Cal and Maggie welcome her into their busy lives, and she quickly finds herself bonding with Sully, the quirky campground owner who is the father figure she's always wanted. But when her past catches up with her, it's a special man and an adorable puppy who give her the strength to face the truth and fight for a brighter future. In Sullivan's Crossing Sierra learns to cherish the family you are given and the family you choose.

Not my favourite

Didn’t find this one as good, too many characters for my liking. Enjoyed the first book better.

Interesting characters, good series

I was more enthralled with Maggie and Cal in the first book of the series, than with the characters of Sierra and Conny, but still am enjoying the series. Interesting to understand recovery, and I love the secondary characters of Tom and Lola, Moody, Sierra’s sponsor and of course Sully. Sierra’s response to Neely’s odd hot and cold behaviour is interesting too. There’s lots going on in this Timberlake community. I want to hear more.
Therese Plummer is so incredibly good in this series. She’s sort of got a little sardonic note in her voice in this series that I enjoy. A much bolder performance than the early Virgin River books so that when I go back and listen to those, I hardly recognize her.

Predictable

Boring and predictable. Uninteresting writing style— the author simply describes what is happening I listened at 1.4x speed just to lean what happened at the end but even then it wasn’t worth my time.

Loved this book

I love Robyn Carr’s writing style. I have been following the timber lake series for awhile now. The story is Sierra in this one was chilling, especially right up until the end - trying to figure out why she was the way she was. So much baggage - and loved the ending with the Jane Austin quote - can’t wait to listen to another!!! Thank you

✫✫ 5 Stars ✫✫

I loved this book. Sierra and Conrad might be my favorite couple now. Sierra is a great character, she is so strong and has a history that is following her but she stands tall and makes her way in this small Colorado town with the help of Sully! I really enjoyed the friendship between Sierra and Sully, it was exactly what she needed and maybe I did too! Conrad is an amazing man, he is the kind of guy that would help anyone! I really enjoyed listening to them fall in love. This book really reminded me how much I miss the Virgin River crew. Can't wait to start the next book!

The narration is perfect! I love Therese Plummer so much! I always know I'll get the best performance when I see her name on a book.

Perfect follow-up book

I loved this book. It was the perfect follow-up Sullivan's Crossing story. I enjoyed going back there and catching up with old friends and making new ones. I think that I love this series as much as the Virgin River series.

All The Feels <3

Every time I start a Robyn Carr book it’s like my sweet spot. I know that no matter what I will enjoy where the story takes me. I get the warm fuzzies each and every time.

This was no different, I enjoyed Sierra’s struggle and how she might have started her journey for one reason she chooses how it was going to happen. And it just so happened to help her not hinder her. I really enjoyed the sister, brother relationship she has. It gave me a whole feel to her character.

Conrad was just an outstanding guy, I loved his personality his playfulness but also his protectiveness he really wanted what was best for Sierra even if that was just friendship. The timeline for this book helped it not feel like instant-love. More like friends who became lovers.
Sigh, I just enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series.

The narration, if you haven’t fallen in love with Therese Plummer yet what are you waiting for she is one of my all-time favorite narrators she just brings it full circle.

Carr does it Again!

You can never go wrong with a Carr romance. The characters are always lovable and the kind of people you want to be friends with. This one is no exception. Therese Plummer is, as always, a superb narrator who I love listening to. While to me, nothing compares to Carr's Virgin River series, this book was definitely worth the credit.
